What is a copywriter?Good question. Copywriting is essential for effective online marketing. (Or any marketing for that matter). It is the art and science of crafting words that sell. (Not to be confused with copyright*– I’m not a lawyer, much to my parents' disappointment.) But what is copy? Copy is any text or messaging found on a website, blog, billboard, brochure, email, ad, etc. It’s a copywriter’s job to strategize words to move people toward action. We help you persuade consumers to trust your brand, buy your products, and become lifelong fans. Still not comprehending? Watch Mad Men.

Do you only write for sustainable brands, or will you write for other businesses too?Short answer—maybe. 90% of my work is centered around the sustainable, eco-friendly, impact-driven business owner because I'm well-versed in the subject matter and feel comfortable, nimble and passionate about creating the content. I am selective with who I work with, this benefits both parties. You wouldn't want to enter a relationship with any Joe-Schmo off the street would you? However, if you have a business I believe in and can get behind, I've definitely made exceptions. If not, I have a wide circle of talented writers that might more appropriately fit the bill. I'll point you to their services. (It's all about connections, baby.) Let's talk about your project.

How much of my time is required?I get it. You have a business to run. And why hire someone in the first place if you're going to spend all of your time holding their hand? The only thing I'll need from you is 15-30 minutes to fill out my Getting Started Questionnaire, 30 minutes for our initial call, and the rest is up to you! The drafts I send will be as close to finished as possible. I welcome and encourage feedback to make sure you're highly satisfied with the copy. However, I limit my round of edits to two per website project. (Otherwise we're running around in circles). If more than two rounds of edits are requested, I charge $50 per round thereafter.

How much do you charge? My prices are fair but competitive. If you're looking for a robot writing machine to generate uninspiring, mass-produced text that's at best grammatically correct—I'm not the copywriter for you. Every word is chosen for a reason. Whether it gets you ranked higher on Google or connects your client that much closer to your brand. My prices range from $200 - $5,000+ based on the scope of your project. Tell me about your budget and let's see what we can work out.
-
How do you accept payment? All projects quoted over $500 USD will require a non-refundable deposit of 50% upfront. The other half is due upon completion of the project. I'll send you an invoice of the work with the option to pay through Credit Card, PayPal, or Venmo. Nice-n-easy.
